Suz invited Paige and I on a double date with her and her daughter Elizabeth. We went to see the new kids movie- Curious George. It was really cute and reminded me so much of the books i used to love as a kid. The one thing about the movie that MADE it for me was the bloody awesome soundtrack. All of the music was done by Jack Johnson and friends and it made me want to do a little dance right there in my seat. When Paige had to use the washroom i was perturbed, not because i was going to miss part of the movie, but I was going to miss the great music that was playing! Seriously! Suz and i made a bee line for the first music store we came across and bought the soundtrack called "Sing-a-longs and Lullabies for the film Curious George.". It is all I’ve been listening to since. It’s already on my ipod and i listened to it at the gym this morning even though lullabies aren’t exactly great music to sweat by.
Anyway, the movie is definitely a refreshing change from all of the computer animated films that have been coming out lately- not that "Robots" isn’t great too but I like to toss things up now and again. We’ll definitely be buying this one.
Today has been a hectic day for me. The kids are on a new trend of waking up at 7:30 in the morning. This may be normal at your house but it’s definitely not NORMAL around here. I feel like my head is going to explode and all i wanna do is have a nap. Oh well, maybe i will in a minute.
I booked a doctors appointment and was able to get one this morning (unheard of with my doc) so I also booked the kids with the childminding at the gym after the doc appointment hoping we’d be able to get there in time. My doctor was running severely late, nothing new there. Nolan was NOT impressed and was having a complete meltdown by the time I got into the office. I got a refill for my happy pills that are still missing and wanted to show her the strange rash that has been appearing all over my body and itching so badly i can barely sleep at night.
Trying to hold Noly in one arm and pull up my shirt with the other was not my idea of a good time. Anyway, she sent me to a dermatologist, whom i will see on the 20th of MARCH. i hope i have skin left by that time, I’m really itchy. I don’t think she understood my desperation. Oh well… I’ll just buy a couple more tubes of cortisone cream to get me by.
We got to the gym in time I’m happy to report and I had a lovely work out.
Then I walked in the door to the phone ringing. It was the doctor’s office letting me know that I forgot my cell phone there. Poo.
I should run along- I think my pillow is calling, I’ll have to tell the laundry to ‘keep it down ‘while I nap, its just going to have to wait…

Me too. i’m hoping it’s not what the doctor mentioned. My doctor is an idiot most days so i’m sure it’s not. but I’m freaked out none-the-less.
I’m glad you guys liked the movie, it sucks when you spend time on a dud and everone has questions like ” why didn’t we go to the “other one”.
If every-one is singing the tunes it’s a gooder!
We went to Aunti Mary’s place for supper last-night, it was turkey and trimmings all around, everyone was stuffed when we left…but we all had fun. and a good visit too.
Gramma was saying she want’s tickets to Joshua’s grade too !! so mom will be hunting them down I guess…

I love the Curious George soundtrack. I haven’t seent the movie yet, but been listening to the cd since it was first released. In fact, it was the first music I put on my new mp3 player. Zach is starting to dig it too.

My favorite line on the whole friggin’ CD. I’ve been listening to it non-stop for a couple weeks now. I absolutely LOVE it. I think that “Upside Down” should be nominated for a best song for a motion picture oscar. Seriously. It’s THAT GOOD.
One of my friends went with her grandkids, and even the grandkids didn’t like it…? but then they were boys…..but I myself love the music of Jack Johnson….I have one of his albums, and use his music in my Photo DVD’s that I make. I always thought Curious George was a cute story…….
I have heard only good things about the George movie and the soundtrack. Will Ferral as a cartoon character has to be hilarious!
