I’ve been trying to keep up with Nolan and his next stage of development- Graphiti. I remember Paige at this age was into drawing on any and every available surface with any and every stylus she could find. Nolan is right on course. The other day he drew a wonderful floor mural in permanent PINK marker on the kitchen linoleum. Copius amounts of Varsol and elbow grease were able to bring it down to a slight pink halo but it’s still there. The surface of the lino has been chemically removed along with any sheen it may have had but the pink still shows… what the heck do they make markers with these days???
Anyway, my dining room chairs have been tagged by Nolan weilding a purple marker (the markers are provided by Accomplice #1, big sister) thank goodness I was thinking of recovering them anyway. IN BLACK. Everything is going to be black soon. It’s so much easier to clean when you think of it. Or not clean.
So in my efforts to keep up with household damage control, the computer and my blog have been left in the dust- temporarily- no worries. I’m trying to post stuff but the writing has been lacking. Tonight you are in for a treat since I drank so much coffee and pop today that my body is on overdrive with no thoughts of sleep… ugh.
Ken’s birthday/father’s day present arrived today… the Delphi XM2go satellite radio! It’s too cool. Go figure, I ordered the radio on Friday and it’s already here. My Ipod is nowhere to be seen and I ordered it nearly 3 weeks ago. Not impressed!!
Well I’m going to go and try to hit the sack… my children will thank me for it in the morning…

"Don’t believe everything you THINK." – bumper sticker I saw the other day

All children go through the Neanderthal stage (writing on walls) its nice to know that he has reached the chair stage.
Imagine Michael Angelo’s mother washing marks off the ceiling.LOL
Did you try good old hair spray and baby oil? I find together they work quite good and cause little damage to the surface.
Baby oil worked great when your sister put a black permanent marker kitty face on the little girl next door.
Love that quote!
I’ve kind of given up on the house thing.
Painting or trying to remove paint, seem almost as hard to do, I remember seing some furniture not long ago with spots of paint on that was a cristening from some nother years paint job of the recognizeable color !!
Airbrushing is the way to go . ha ha
Don’t let Noly play with it though. ha ah
Oh the memories you bring back……I have a huge slate blackboard in my basement, and the kids always seemed to color on it with crayons….that is as hard to remove from slate as marker is to linoleum….
but the winner is jenson the one I just wrote my blog on innocent child that she might be, she took a rock and scratched her name in my new car…..and was so proud, she called me “grandma look I spelled my name” Yikes! It did polish out when I had my car detailed…..
