I just got my parcel in the mail from this patch swap. I am so lucky! It contained a Gorgeous embroidered Pink Squirrel from Cathy and a very intricate blue bird from Kristin. Last but certainly not least, Faun included some iron on patches featuring her artwork. All together it made for quite an impressive package.
Like a dorkus, I forgot to write my name on the fancy envelopes I put my patches into… so one recipient has had to do a little ‘Nancy Drewing’ to find me. Oops! I’m glad to know that they will be going to homes that appreciate them. And now I wish I’d done a better job…
I spent the evening on Thursday and the afternoon today painting my living room wall. It’s been interesting since we are going from a colour called "Red Red Wine" to a colour called "Blue Brooke". I’ve got such plans, new artwork to hang above the couch and I want to paint the Mantle Chinese red with an antique finish. I know what your thinking Dad, if I don’t like the bright colour on the mantle, I’ll just paint it again! That’s the nice thing about paint. The blue paint I bought from a liquidation store and it only cost me 10$ but by golly it only covered like 10 dollar paint, Suz saved the day by lending be a bucket of paint that was a light brown to use as primer. If it weren’t for that, I’d still be there painting the blue and in desperate need of another can of blue paint. I don’t think I’ll buy it again, depending on the project. If you click on the photo it will take you into my flickr photos where i’ve posted a few other shots in my photo stream. Of Course, of the three shots the blue looks different in each one, so use your imagination- you get the gist.
I’ll post more photos when I’ve completed my project- Wish me luck!

Jenny you have a great eye for colour. I would love to have you do artwork for my house. I can’t wait to see all the pics of your living room.
Hi Jen, Holly here from A Tale of Two Kitties…thanks for the comment. I would never have thought someone from outside my circle of friends was reading my little blog. How did you find me out of curiosity?
Your blog is swift as well! I will add you to my daily read!
The patches are beautiful! Can’t wait to see how the room looks when you finish! Good luck!!
Jen, you did a fine job! I loved the fancy envelope as well as the embroidery. And I do enjoy a good mystery also.
What an awesome package, how lovely!
