Ken and I watched another very interesting documentary last night called "Who Killed the Electric Car?". All i have to say is WOW. Once again I was left feeling cheated, sad, angry and very disgusted at the powers that be. If you can find the film please go and rent it- it was very informative. Here is the trailer:
But I’m not too discouraged after reading recent reports about the creation of some electric sports cars by a new start up company called ‘Tesla Motors’. It’s so exciting and I’m glad someone is doing it!

incase you couldn’t tell the first one is about Paige and the second is about Nolan.
My baby girl is starting school tomorrow (or today for most of you reading). She is pretty excited, even though the first day is only 25 minutes with parents. I am kinda nervous too- I haven’t been to school in 15 years! I’ll get over it quickly I’m sure. The first week of kindergarten is really flakey, they try and ease the kids into it with very short days and skipping days etc. It’s silly. A full day of kindergarten is only 2 and a half hours for heaven’s sake, what could possibly be hard about that? Anyway, we’ll handle it. Photos will be posted!
Nolan has also been quite the handfull lately. He’s completely off potty training all together. He talks about it a lot but doesn’t want to have any part of the actual activity. Silly kid. He’s been talking up a blue streak too which catches me off guard more often than not. We hear him use the word "actually’ quite a bit. I wondered where the heck he picked that up, until one day i decided to sit down and watch his favourite show with him. Charlie and Lola. Well, it’s a british cartoon about a boy and his little sister and how they interact with each other through daily stresses of young children. I love the show for many reason, one of which is that both children love to read books. Another biggie is that Charlie is always polite to his little sister even when she is being downright annoying and unfair. It’s such a great little show. Anyway, back to my story, I watch the show with Nolan and heard Lola use the word ‘actually’ many times. I also hear her say many other large words that I distinctly remember Nolan using in the past. So I’m glad he’s picking up a larger vocabulary from the show and perhaps even a slight accent.
At first I thought his lack of pronunciation of the letter ‘R’ was just early language development, but after listening to the british accent on the show… I’m starting to wonder. I’ll keep you posted on that one and possibly upload some video clips of him talking, partly to listen for an accent but mainly because it’s cute and funny.
Now that school is starting and I’m trying to schedule my days a little bit, I’m hoping to fit more bloggin’ in. Let’s see how that works out for me. Perhaps even a new blog template is in order???
